USCIS RESUMES DACA –FOR NOW
USCIS website – DACA Renewals OK “within one year of the expiration date of your last period of deferred action approved under DACA”.
DACA recipients can now renew a request to extend DACA and work authorization until further notice according to a recent USCIS update. Until further notice, and unless otherwise provided, the DACA policy will be operated on the terms in place before it was rescinded on Sept. 5, 2017 by President Trump. Those previously granted deferred action under DACA can request renewals with the required fees. However, USCIS will NOT accept new requests from those who did not previously have DACA. Additionally, USCIS will no longer accept or approve any advance parole requests from DACA recipients.
